California Privacy Notice
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy for California residents and applies where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Europe Makine’s handling of personal information.
Notice at collection
We collect the categories below to respond to and qualify enquiries, operate and secure our services, communicate with prospects and customers, complete transactions, keep required records and protect legal rights. We retain each category only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
| CCPA category | Examples | Retention criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone if provided, IP address and similar contact or online identifiers. | Sales enquiries normally 24 months after last substantive contact; technical logs usually up to 90 days. |
| California customer-record information | Contact, organisation and transaction details. | Normally 24 months for enquiries; transaction/accounting records up to 7 years. |
| Commercial information | Products, wash systems, sites, territories or opportunities considered or purchased. | Normally 24 months for enquiries; longer for an active transaction, contract or legal obligation. |
| Internet or network activity | Browser/device information, page and form requests, and security events. | Usually up to 90 days in active logs; longer for security incidents or legal claims. |
| Inferences | Sales stage, enquiry type and qualification information inferred from the details and conversation you provide. | Normally 24 months after last substantive contact. |
We do not seek sensitive personal information through our sales forms and do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under the CCPA.
Sources, use and disclosure
We obtain information directly from you and your organisation, from your communications with Pala and our team, from service providers, referrals and lawful public business sources. We disclose it for business purposes to authorised Europe Makine personnel; Kilij; and hosting, security, email, AI and professional service providers. During the preceding 12 months, the categories disclosed for business purposes correspond to the categories listed above.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising and have not done so during the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 and do not offer financial incentives for personal information.
Your California rights
Where applicable, you may request that we disclose the categories or specific pieces of personal information we hold, explain sources, purposes and recipients, correct inaccurate information, or delete information. You may also exercise any applicable right to opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service without discrimination.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of and no “Do Not Sell or Share” link is required for our current practices. If that changes, we will add the required control and honour applicable browser opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control.
