Rollover and tunnel systems both wash a car automatically, but they suit different sites. The right choice usually comes down to space, expected traffic and how the site will be staffed.
Rollover systems
A rollover machine stays in place while the wash unit moves over a stationary vehicle. That makes it a good fit for smaller footprints and sites where traffic is steady but not constant, since the vehicle only needs to fit under one gantry rather than travel the length of a tunnel.
Tunnel systems
A tunnel moves the vehicle through a fixed line of wash stages on a conveyor. It needs a longer site, but once running it can move more vehicles through in a given period, which suits higher-traffic locations willing to commit the space.
What actually decides it
Footprint is usually the first constraint: a tunnel needs the length to fit, a rollover does not. After that, it comes down to expected volume and how much attention the site can give to staffing and queue management. Neither system is the better one in general. It is which one matches the site.
